As practice shows, forward brake shoes from the passenger wear out most intensively therefore and to check brake shoes it is necessary on the right forward wheel.

Weaken bolts of fastening of the right forward wheel and turn on the parking brake, then lift a forward part of the car and fix on supports. Remove the right forward wheel.

On disk brakes in each support are established on 2 brake shoes. Internal brake shoes are visible through viewing openings in each support (fig. 2.19) . External brake shoes are visible sideways a support. Visually define thickness of brake shoes.

If it is visually difficult to define thickness of brake shoes or there is a suspicion on an unsatisfactory condition of blocks, remove them for further survey. If the overlay of a brake shoe is worn-out till the minimum thickness, replace all four brake shoes in a set.

By calliper measure thickness of a brake disk. If thickness of a disk less maximum permissible, replace it. Also check a condition of a brake disk on lack of cracks and задиров.

Before installation of a wheel check a condition of brake hoses and tubes.

Establish a wheel and lower the car.
