Check of a condition of tires — an important element of prevention which can give information on a condition of a steering and suspension brackets of the car and to prevent serious damages.

Depth of a protector is measured by the simple measuring tool — a depth gage. When depth of a protector reaches a minimum established by the legislation or the producer of tires, replace tires.

At survey of tires note any abnormal wear of a protector. Signs of non-uniform wear of a protector, such as step wear of paths of a protector, spotty wear of a protector and the strengthened wear on the one hand wheels, indicate violation of corners of installation of wheels and/or balancing. At detection of any of these signs of non-uniform wear find the reason and immediately eliminate. Too high pressure in tires is at the bottom of the accelerated wear of an average part of a protector, coupling with darling is thus weakened amortiziruyushchy operation of the tire decreases and danger of a rupture of the tire increases. Regularly check absence on tires of cuts or swellings, especially on lateral surfaces. Delete the stones which have got stuck in a protector or sharp subjects. Periodically remove wheels and clear external and internal surfaces of a wheel of dirt. Signs of violation of balancing of wheels usually are vibration of a body of the car (for the speed about 90 km/h) though in most cases vibration is felt through a steering wheel. Keep in mind that wear or damage of details of a steering and a suspension bracket can become the reason of the strengthened wear of tires. Non-uniform wear of forward tires indicates violation of corners of installation of wheels.

Regularly check pressure in tires, support pressure at normal level. Check pressure on cold tires before a trip or after a while after it.

If pressure of air in tires falls, first of all check tires on existence of punctures or cuts. If the tire has no defects, check a condition and reliability of an inhaling of a zolotnik. For simplification of search of leakages of air put on a place of prospective leak soap solution. In the presence of leak soap solution will start to bubble.

Carefully examine an internal lateral surface of each tire on existence of traces of brake liquid on it. If traces of brake liquid are visible, immediately check a condition of wheel brake mechanisms.
