Disconnect a "weight" wire from the storage battery.

Remove from spark plugs tips with high-voltage wires or coils of ignition and take them aside from a cover of a head of the block of cylinders.

Stream of the compressed air clear a place round spark plugs to exclude dirt hit in the engine cylinder after a reversing of candles. Turn out spark plugs.

Uncover heads of the block of cylinders.

Turning a cranked shaft of the engine in the direction of its working rotation for a bolt of fastening of a pulley, establish the piston of the first cylinder in the top dead point (VMT) at the end of a compression step.

By Shchup measure a gap of final valves in cylinders 1 and 3 and a gap of inlet valves in cylinders 4 and 2 (fig. 2.48, 2.49) . Write down results of measurements.

Turn a cranked shaft on one turn (the piston of the fourth cylinder in VMT at the end of a compression step) and measure gaps on other valves (fig. 2.50) . Write down results of measurements.
