Check electrolit density in the storage battery every 3 month.
Check is made by the areometer. At determination of density of electrolit consider its temperature. At temperature of electrolit below 15 °C on each 10 °C below this temperature from the measured density subtract value of 0,007 g/cm3; over 15 °C — add 0,007 g/cm3.
After determination of density of electrolit in storage batteries everyone bank establish degree of its razryazhennost on tab. 15.3.
Density of electrolit measure in everyone bank. The difference in density of 0,04 g/cm3 or more between two any banks indicates loss of electrolit or a sulfatatsiya of plates.
If the electrolit density between two any banks differs more than on 0,04 g/cm3, it is necessary to replace the storage battery. If the density of electrolit is lower demanded, but identical in all banks, the battery is necessary for charging.
Operability of the unattended storage battery check only the voltmeter. Degree of a zaryazhennost of the battery with the built-in indicator is determined by color of the indicator. Green color of the indicator corresponds to a full charging, black — points to need of a charging, dark blue — testifies to low level of electrolit in the battery.
