The system cruise control provides support of speed of the car which is carried out by means of the electric motor connected with a cable of an accelerator.

The system consists of the electric motor, the control unit, the switch on a pedal of a brake, control switches and the sensor of frequency of rotation.

Due to the features of system for its check special test devices and diagnostic checks are required.

Below only the general checks which will help to define a malfunction site are given:

Check integrity of safety locks.

Press a pedal of a brake and check that stoplights as the switch of a stoplight deactivates system cruise control thus light up.

If stoplights do not light up or burn constantly, check the switch and a control system cruise control.

Visually examine the cable of management connecting the electric motor and sector of a butterfly valve on absence of jammings (fig. 15.60) . If necessary replace a cable.

If the system control cruise still does not work properly, address on service station.
