Precautionary measures at a detachment of the storage battery

The electric equipment of the car is executed according to the single-wire scheme. Devices consumers are connected by a negative conclusion to a body ("weight") which carries out function of the second wire.

For protection of electric chains the safety locks which color corresponds to a current of protection of a safety lock are used. Serviceability of a safety lock is determined by presence of the wire conductor connecting contacts of a safety lock.

At work with the electric equipment remove a "weight" wire from the storage battery to prevent possibility of short circuit of electric chains.

The electric equipment of the car consists of systems of ignition, power supply, start-up, lighting and the light alarm system. Besides, the system of electric equipment includes instrumentations and the additional equipment.

PREVENTIONS Not to damage semi-conductor devices (diodes and transistors), at works with electric equipment fulfill the following requirements: – in operating time of the engine do not disconnect the storage battery, the generator of an alternating current or any electric sockets; – do not detain a key in the ignition lock in situation «Ignition it is included» more than 10 with if the engine is not started up; – remove a wire from the negative plug of the storage battery before any work which is carried out with components of the electric equipment of the car; – at carrying out electrowelding works on the car disconnect the generator of an alternating current and the electronic control unit; – do not allow operation of the engine with the generator disconnected from electric system; – do not check serviceability of the generator, closing its conclusions to "weight".
