Fig. 15.59. Arrangement of components of management of external rear-view mirrors: 1–the electric motors located in cases of mirrors; 2–the ECU block located from the forward passenger; 3–ignition lock; 4–switch of adjustment of provision of external mirrors; 5–the block of safety locks from the driver
|
For adjustment of provision of each external rear-view mirror 2 electric motors are used: one for adjustment in vertical, the second — in horizontal the planes
(fig. 15.59)
.
The switch has the selector which submits tension on the right or left mirror.
Check of a drive of external rear-view mirrors make as follows.
Include ignition, without starting up the engine. Lower windshields and serially turn mirrors in the vertical and horizontal planes, listening to a sound of working engines.
If the engine works, and the mirror does not move, possibly, the mechanism of a drive of a mirror is faulty. Remove and disassemble a mirror for definition of a cause of defect.
If mirrors do not move and is not audible operation of engines, check integrity of a safety lock.
If the safety lock is serviceable, remove from the dashboard the switch and check its condition.
According to electric circuits check reliability of connection of wires of the mirrors connected to "weight".
If the mirror still does not work, remove it and check tension giving to a mirror.
If there is no tension even in one position of the switch, check an electric chain between a mirror and the switch.
If tension is present at all working positions of the switch, remove a mirror and check operability of electric motors, connecting them additional wires to the storage battery. If engines do not work, replace a mirror.
