The sensor of speed of the car (VSS) is located in the top part of a case of a transmission (fig. 7.21, 7.22) . The sensor develops a pulse signal at rotation of a shaft of the sensor. On the basis of information from the PCM sensor operates fuel system and ignition system.
Replacement of the sensor of speed of the car (VSS) make as follows:
– disconnect the electric socket from the VSS sensor;
– turn out the VSS sensor from a transmission.
Installation of the sensor make in sequence, return to removal. At installation replace a sealing ring of the sensor.
