PREVENTIONS Cars are equipped with the systems of safety (SRS) including safety cushions and natyazhitel of seat belts. Before work about sensors of blow, the dashboard and a steering column disconnect at first negative, and then positive the plug from the storage battery and wait for 2 minutes. It will exclude unauthorized disclosure of safety cushions and operation of natyazhitel of seat belts which can put injuries. Not to damage PCM a charge of a static electricity, at removal and installation of the block do not concern contacts in electric sockets.

The control unit is located the engine (PCM) in a forward part of the central console from the driver on cars till 2001 and under the panel to the right of a ware box of devices on cars since 2001 (fig. 7.4, 7.5) .

For removal of the block do the following.

Switch off ignition and disconnect a "weight" wire from the storage battery.

On models till 2001 further operate in the following order:

– release and unscrew a carpet of a floor and remove the left cover of the central console;

– disconnect the electric socket from the control unit the engine;

PREVENTION At a detachment and connection of the electric socket from the control unit the engine, for an exception of damage of the block, ignition should be switched off.

– turn out bolts of fastening of the control unit the engine to arms;

– remove the control unit the engine, before control unit removal, remove from a body an electrostatic charge, having touched with a hand a body, and store PCM on a special anti-static pillow.

On models since 2001 further operate in the following order:

– remove a ware box;

– remove upholsteries of the right forward threshold and the lower part of a forward rack;

– disconnect the electric socket from the control unit the engine;

PREVENTION At a detachment and connection of the electric socket from the control unit the engine, for an exception of damage of the block, ignition should be switched off.

– turn out bolts of fastening of the control unit the engine to arms;

– remove the control unit the engine, before removal of the control unit remove from a body an electrostatic charge, having touched with a hand a body, and store PCM on a special anti-static pillow.

Installation carry out to sequences, return to removal.
