       PREVENTIONS
Cars are equipped with the systems of safety (SRS) including safety cushions and natyazhitel of seat belts. Before work about sensors of blow, the dashboard and a steering column disconnect at first negative, and then positive the plug from the storage battery and wait for about two minutes. It will exclude unauthorized disclosure of safety cushions and operation of natyazhitel of seat belts which can cause a trauma.

The system of blocking of the lever of the selector and the lock of ignition interferes with moving of the lever of the selector from the provisions "P" and "N" if the brake pedal ( fig. 9.25 , is not pressed 9.26, 9.27 by ). It is also impossible to take a key from the ignition lock if the lever of the selector is not established in a starting position.
Check of the solenoid of blocking of a key in the ignition lock
Remove a casing of a steering column.
Disconnect the electric socket from the solenoid of blocking of a key in the ignition lock.
By ohmmeter measure resistance of a winding of the solenoid which should be within 12,5–16,5 Ohm.
Using additional wires, for short time submit tension of the storage battery to contacts of a winding of the solenoid, thus it should publish a clicking sound. Do not submit tension a long time as the solenoid can be damaged.
If any of checks did not give positive results, replace the solenoid.
Check of the solenoid of blocking of the lever of the selector on models of release 1996 and 1997
Remove the central console.
Disconnect the electric socket from the solenoid of blocking of the lever of the selector.
By ohmmeter measure resistance of a winding of the solenoid which should be within 26–33 Ohm.
Using additional wires, for short time submit tension of the storage battery to contacts of a winding of the solenoid, thus it should publish a clicking sound. Do not submit tension a long time as the solenoid can be damaged
If any of checks did not give positive results, replace the solenoid.

Disconnect the electric socket from the switch and by an ohmmeter measure resistance between contacts in each position of the lever of the selector (rice 9.28) . Conditions of the switch are given in table 9.4 .
If resistance between contacts does not correspond to requirements, replace the switch.
Control unit blocking system
If above-mentioned components are serviceable, and the system of blocking does not work properly, possibly, the control unit system of blocking is faulty, and it is necessary to replace it. However before replacement of the block check electric chains between components of system of blocking on absence of breaks and short circuits.
