PREVENTIONS Cars are equipped with the systems of safety (SRS) including safety cushions and natyazhitel of seat belts. Before work about sensors of blow, the dashboard and a steering column disconnect at first negative, and then positive the plug from the storage battery and wait for about two minutes. It will exclude unauthorized disclosure of safety cushions and operation of natyazhitel of seat belts which can cause a trauma.

Replacement

Being under the car, remove the bottom mudguard of a motor compartment.

Lift a forward part of the car and establish it on support.

Unscrew a nut of fastening of a cable of the selector and disconnect it from the lever of a choice of transfers on the forward party of a transmission.

Remove a clip and remove a cable cover from an arm on a transmission.

Remove the central console.

Disconnect a cable from the lower part of the lever of the selector, then compress clamps and separate a cable cover from a casing of the lever of the selector.

Take a cable from a sealing ring in a partition of a motor compartment.

Installation make in sequence, return to removal.

After installation adjust a selector cable.

Adjustment

Weaken a nut of fastening of a cable of the selector to the lever of a choice of transfers on the forward party of a transmission.

Establish the lever of a choice of transfers on a transmission in the situation "N" (fig. 9.20, 9.21, 9.22) .

Establish the selector lever in car salon in the situation "N".

The assistant should keep the selector lever in car salon with small pressure towards the situation "R", at this time tighten a nut of fastening of a cable of the selector to the lever of a choice of transfers on a transmission.

Moving the selector lever, be convinced that the lever of a choice of transfers also moves to the relevant provisions. In each position of the lever of the selector try to get the engine. The starter should join only at positions of the lever of the P and N selector.
