PREVENTIONS Removal of a radiator and broad tank make on the cold engine. Do not allow hit of cooling liquid on clothes and a paint and varnish covering of a body. Otherwise wash out a surface a large amount of water. Collect and utilize the merged cooling liquid.

Radiator replacement

Switch off ignition and disconnect a "weight" wire from the storage battery.

Merge cooling liquid.

On release cars till 2001 turn out bolts of fastening of a casing of the fan of the condenser of central air and reject it from a radiator.

On release cars since 2001 remove a front grille, the protective panel and the cowl lock.

Disconnect from a radiator top and bottom hoses of system of cooling.

Disconnect from a radiator a hose connecting it to a broad tank.

Remove radiator fans.

On cars with an automatic transmission disconnect hoses from the heat exchanger for cooling of oil of a transmission (fig. 4.9) . Before a detachment of hoses establish capacity for collecting following oil.

Turn out bolts of fastening of a radiator to the forward cross-section panel (fig. 4.10, 4.11) .

Lift a radiator and remove it from the car.

If the radiator acts in film in connection with capacity reduction, wash out it a water stream in two directions and blow outside compressed air.

If the radiator proceeds, do not try to make or solder a leakage place as plastic details of a radiator will be thus damaged.

The insignificant leak of a radiator can be eliminated by means of radiator hermetic.

Check a condition of the bottom rubber support of a radiator and if necessary replace them.

Installation of a radiator make in sequence, return to removal, taking into account the following.

Fill in cooling liquid.

On cars with an automatic transmission check oil level in a transmission.

Get the engine and be convinced of absence of leaks.

Replacement of a broad tank

On the majority of models to remove a tank very easily: for this purpose it is enough to pull out of it from a wing arm.

Merge from a tank cooling liquid. Wash out a tank and examine it on lack of cracks and attritions. In the presence of damages replace a broad tank.

Installation of a broad tank make in sequence, return to removal.
