PREVENTION Cars are equipped with the systems of safety (SRS) including safety cushions and natyazhitel of seat belts. Before work about sensors of blow, the dashboard and a steering column disconnect at first negative, and then positive the plug from the storage battery and wait for 2 minutes. It will exclude unauthorized disclosure of safety cushions and operation of natyazhitel of seat belts which can put injuries.

Removal of the central console make as follows:

Switch off ignition and disconnect a "weight" wire from the storage battery.

Lift the lever of the parking brake.

If the car is equipped with a mechanical transmission, unscrew the button from the lever of gear shifting and remove a cover of the lever of gear shifting.

If the car is equipped with an automatic transmission, remove a decorative overlay of the lever of the selector (fig. 14.45) .

On models since 2001 turn out screws and an edge of a screw-driver separate the lower part of the central decorative overlay of the dashboard. Not to scratch the panel, wind a screw-driver edge with a sticky tape or rags.

On models till 2001 turn out screws of a lobby and an average part of the central console, then turn out the screw of fastening of a back part and, moving the console, remove it back.

On models since 2001 turn out screws and remove back section of the central console (fig. 14.46) . Also remove furnish covers in forward section of the central console (fig. 14.47) .

Turn out screws of fastening of forward section of the central console and remove it on the lever of the parking brake (fig. 14.48) .

Disconnect from forward section of the central console electric sockets and remove it from the car.
