PREVENTION Cars are equipped with the systems of safety (SRS) including safety cushions and natyazhitel of seat belts. Before work about sensors of blow, the dashboard and a steering column disconnect at first negative, and then positive the plug from the storage battery and wait for 2 minutes. It will exclude unauthorized disclosure of safety cushions and operation of natyazhitel of seat belts which can put injuries.

Removal of the lock of a cowl make in a sledushchy way:

Marker note the provision of bolts of fastening of the lock of a cowl (see fig. 14.2 ). Turn out bolts and remove the lock from the forward cross-section panel.

Disconnect a cable cover from the case of the lock of a cowl and a cable from a lock latch (fig. 14.3) .

Installation make in sequence, return to removal, taking into account the following: adjust position of the lock so that gaps between a forward part of a cowl and wings were identical, and a rubber emphasis when closing a cowl was slightly compressed.

Removal of a cable of opening of the lock of a cowl make in a sledushchy way:

In salon of the car remove the panel of an upholstery located under the dashboard from the driver.

Lift the handle of opening of a cowl up and disconnect a cable cover from a handle arm, then disconnect a cable from the squeezing lever (fig. 14.4) .

If squeezing the lever with the handle will be replaced, pull the handle outside and press down for removal from a clamp and its detachment from the dashboard.

Adhere to a cable a thin long cord. Further the cord is required for retraction to the place of a cable of opening of a cowl.

In a motor compartment disconnect a cable and a cable cover from the cowl lock. Release a cable from clips on a forward cross-section beam and along a wing.

Extend a cable in a motor compartment, before emergence of a cord, then untie a cord from an old cable and fix it on a new cable.

For a cord stretch a new cable through a partition of a motor compartment while it will not reach the handle of opening of a cowl, then untie a cord.

In salon of the car connect a cable to the squeezing lever, and a cover of a cable fix on a handle arm.

If at installation of a cable the condensing ring was displaced from a partition of a motor compartment, fingers of a hand establish it into place.

Further installation make in sequence, return to removal.
