Attach a red connecting wire to positive plugs of both batteries
(fig. 1.5)

Attach one end of a black or green connecting wire to the negative plug of the additional storage battery.
Attach other end of a black or green connecting wire to the negative plug of the battery established in the car or a "mass" detail of the car.
Include a starter and start up the engine.
Wait steady operation of the engine idling and accurately remove connecting wires.
