Removal

       NOTE
Axial люфт camshafts check before their removal.

Removal make in the following order:
– switch off ignition and disconnect a "weight" wire from the storage battery;
– uncover heads of the block of cylinders;

– establish the piston of the first cylinder in VMT in a compression step, thus the label on a quencher of fluctuations should be combined with a sign VMT or 0 on a forward cover of a chain (cm fig. 3.52 ), and labels on asterisks of camshafts should be combined with labels on covers of bearings of camshafts (see fig. 3.55 );

– with paint put on a chain the adjusting labels located opposite to labels on asterisks of camshafts (fig. 3.70) ;

       NOTE
On asterisks of camshafts are available on two labels. One labels are intended for installation of camshafts in VMT of the piston of the first cylinder, and others for combination with color labels of a chain.

– holding a wrench, a camshaft from a provorachivaniye for a shestigrannik, turn out on some turns a bolt of fastening of an asterisk to a camshaft (see fig. 3.61 );

– remove the mechanism of a tension of a chain and the sensor of an angle of rotation of a cranked shaft from a forward cover of a chain (see fig. 3.56 );

– turn out nuts and remove a natyazhitel of a chain from the back party of a cover (see fig. 3.57 );
– turn out bolts of fastening of asterisks to camshafts. Remove a chain from asterisks of camshafts and remove asterisks;
– check an axial gap of camshafts. Establish on the block of cylinders of the engine an arm with the indicator of hour type so that the measuring tip of the indicator rested against a camshaft end face;
– move a camshaft along an axis to one party against the stop and establish the indicator on 0. Move a camshaft along an axis to other party against the stop and fix value on the indicator. If the size of a gap of a camshaft of inlet valves exceeds admissible size, check a condition of the No. bearing of 1 camshaft. If the working surface of the bearing is worn-out, replace the bearing. If the size of a gap of a camshaft of final valves exceeds admissible size, it is necessary to replace a camshaft and / or a head of the block of cylinders;
– check, whether there is a valve of system of change of phases of a gazoraspredeleniye (VVT) on a back part of a camshaft of inlet valves;
– after removal of asterisks extend, on as much as possible, a chain, and a soft wire fix it on a partition of a motor compartment. It will exclude chain falling in the engine at performance of the following operations. Also put pure rags from above in a chain cover;
– check existence of labels on covers of bearings of camshafts. Covers are numbered by figures from 1 to 5 both letters I and by E.Bukva I (Intake) specifies that the cover is established on a camshaft of inlet valves, and Е (Exhaust) – final valves. Also on covers there are shooters who at installation of covers should be directed to a chain;

– in sequence, return to a tightening, gradually weaken, and then for some passes turn out completely bolts of fastening of covers of bearings of camshafts (see fig. 3.75 );
– remove covers of bearings and camshafts from a head of the block of cylinders. Note the provision of camshafts as at installation they should be in the same provisions;
– wipe from oil and mark the pushers, the magnetized tool remove them from a head of the block of cylinders and arrange so that at installation they were established on the places.
Check
Visually investigate cams and necks of bearings of camshafts on absence of development, traces of corrosion, a navolakivaniye of metal and the flowers of a pobezhalost testifying to a local overheat.
Check a condition of teeths on asterisks. Teeths on an asterisk have a symmetric form and in case of development on the one hand teeths of an asterisk it is necessary to replace together with a chain.
Check a condition of bearings of camshafts in a head of the block of cylinders on lack of traces of corrosion, scratches and wear.

If working surfaces of the No. bearing of 1 camshaft of inlet valves are damaged, replace it according to the data provided in table 3.28 (fig. 3.71) ;
By micrometer measure diameter of each neck of bearings of a camshaft and write down values. Necks measure in several points, both on diameter, and on length, it will allow to reveal ovality and a konusnost at their existence. Nominal rate of diameter of necks of bearings of a camshaft: bearing No. 1-35,971-35,985; the others – 22,959–22,975 mm. If diameter of any neck less nominal rate, replace a camshaft.
Establish covers of bearings of camshafts on a head of the block of cylinders and fix bolts. Measure internal diameter of each corresponding bearing of a camshaft and write down values. For definition of a radial gap subtract from diameter of the bearing diameter of the corresponding neck of a camshaft. Compare gap size to specifications. If the gap exceeds maximum permissible value, replace a camshaft and / or a head of the block of cylinders.
By micrometer measure height of cams of a camshaft. Compare height of cams to specifications. If height of cams less maximum permissible value, replace a camshaft.
Measure radial palpation of a camshaft. Establish a camshaft in a head of the block of cylinders. Establish on a head of the block of cylinders an arm with the indicator of hour type so that the measuring tip of the indicator rested against an average neck of a camshaft, and establish the indicator on 0. Slowly turn a camshaft and note change of indications of the indicator.
Move a camshaft along an axis to other party against the stop and fix value on the indicator. Maximum permissible value of radial palpation of 0,03 mm. If radial palpation more maximum permissible value, replace a camshaft.
Check each pusher on lack of wear and задиров.
Measure external diameter of each pusher, and the corresponding nests of pushers. For definition of a gap subtract diameter of a pusher from diameter of a nest. Nominal rate of a gap of 0,033-0,059 mm, maximum permissible value – 0,079 mm. If the gap exceeds maximum permissible value, replace pushers.
Installation
Installation make in the following order:

– if acted in film the No. bearing of 1 camshaft of inlet valves, establish it in a head of the block of cylinders (fig. 3.72) and a bearing cover (fig. 3.73) ;
– grease with engine oil pushers and establish them on places in which they were before removal;
– grease with engine oil of a neck and camshaft cams;

– establish camshafts so that cams of shaft of the first cylinder were directed in different directions from each other, at an angle 30 ° up from the horizontal plane (fig. 3.74) , and adjusting pins were directed up;
– establish covers of bearings of camshafts and fix them bolts, having tightened them by hand at this stage;
– in the sequence shown in drawing 3.75 , turning for one pass on 1/4 turns, screw bolts of fastening of covers and tighten them the moments given in specifications;
– combine teeths of an asterisk of camshafts with chain links, having combined the labels put before removal, and establish asterisks on camshafts so that pins of shaft entered into openings from a reverse side of asterisks;
– check that the piston of the first cylinder is established in VMT in a compression step, thus the label on a quencher of fluctuations should be combined with a sign VMT or 0 on a forward cover of a chain (see fig. 3.52 ), and labels on asterisks of camshafts should be combined with labels on covers of bearings (see fig. 3.55 ). Be convinced that adjusting labels on a chain before removal, are located opposite to labels on asterisks of camshafts (see fig. 3.70 );
– in turn, holding a wrench, a camshaft from a provorachivaniye for a shestigrannik, screw bolts of fastening of asterisks to camshafts (see fig. 3.61 );
– establish a natyazhitel of a chain.
Further installation carry out to sequences, return to removal.
