The fuel system is under constant pressure therefore before a detachment of pipelines remove pressure in fuel system.
Central air of air is under a high pressure therefore do not open a contour of cooling of central air while the coolant is not pumped out.
Central air should be served by the technicians trained in safe working methods, with use of the special equipment and with observance of safety rules during the collecting and storage of an automobile coolant.
Transmission removal on all-wheel drive models — very laborious work. The manufacturer recommends to remove the power unit assembled then to disconnect a transmission from the engine.
Switch off ignition and disconnect a "weight" wire from the storage battery.
Remove pressure in fuel system.
Remove a cowl. Remove the casing of the ventilating chamber located at the basis of a windscreen.
Capes protect wings not to damage a paint and varnish covering.
Remove the case of the air filter.
Disconnect a cable of an accelerator and take him aside together with an arm.
Remove the storage battery and its support.
Unscrew nuts of fastening of forward wheels and power shafts to naves.
Merge engine oil and cooling liquid.
Remove a broad tank.
Remove belts of a drive of hinged units.
Mark and disconnect from the engine vacuum hoses and hoses of system of cooling, electric sockets, wires of connection with "weight" and fuel tubes.
Release clips and disconnect from the engine plaits of wires. Also disconnect wires from the control unit the engine (PCM) in salon of the car and extend wires from car salon in a motor compartment.
Remove the generator and a starter.
Remove the radiator fan, a casing of the fan and a radiator. This operation is not obligatory, however it will prevent their damage at engine removal. If the radiator remains established in the car, disconnect from it tubes of an oil radiator of a transmission.
On models with central air turn out bolts of fastening of the compressor of the conditioner.
Move the conditioner compressor together with the wires attached to it and tubes aside and a soft wire fix it on a body.
Do not open central air contour.
Separate a reception exhaust pipe from a final collector.
Disconnect drafts of management of a transmission. Also disconnect all electric sockets from a transmission.
Weaken nuts of fastening of power shafts to naves.
Disconnect management cables from a transmission.
Lift the car on the lift. Remove forward wheels and the bottom protection of a motor compartment.
Merge oil from a transmission.
Remove power shafts.
Remove the driveshaft.
On models till 2001 remove the pump of the amplifier of a steering.
Remove a reception exhaust pipe.
Remove the bottom cross-section and longitudinal beams.
Lower the car and fix captures of the elevating mechanism for eyes of the power unit.
Turn out bolts of fastening of the right and left support of the power unit.
Lower the power unit on a floor, then disconnect captures of the elevating mechanism.
Lift the car and move the power unit from under the car.
Remove a starter.
Mark and disconnect from a transmission all electric sockets and hoses.
On models till 2001 turn out bolts and remove three plates of rigidity from a transmission case.
On models since 2001 turn out bolts and remove one plate of rigidity.

Turn out bolts of fastening of a transmission to the engine
(fig. 9.8, 9.9)
. Note an arrangement of bolts as further it is necessary to establish them on the same places.
Separate a transmission from the engine. On models till 2001 take away a transmission from the engine on 5–7 cm, then reject the left end of a transmission back and separate a transmission.
Installation make in sequence, return to removal, taking into account the following.
Clear a shlitsevy part of primary shaft of a transmission and grease with a thin layer of high-temperature greasing. The layer of greasing should be thin and uniform, differently at coupling work excessive greasing will be rejected on working surfaces of coupling that can break its work.
Move a transmission to the engine so that primary shaft of a transmission entered in a shlitsa of a conducted disk of coupling. For combination of shliyets of primary shaft of a transmission with shlitsa of a conducted disk of coupling, probably, it is necessary to turn a cranked shaft of the engine slightly. At installation of a transmission do not allow a box to lean primary shaft on a coupling disk.
Having moved a transmission forward, establish a coupling case on directing plugs of the block of cylinders.
Tighten bolts of fastening of a transmission the demanded moment.
Fill in oil in a transmission.
