Remove a rack of a forward suspension bracket from the car and fix in a vice with soft sponges. not to damage a rack, do not tighten a vice too strongly.

By means of the special adaptation compress a spring so that it departed from the top part of a rack. When using the special adaptation for compression of springs rounds of a spring grasp reliably, a spring compress from the opposite sides.

PREVENTION The spring has very big effort of compression therefore use only the reliable tool. At all do not use for spring tightening a wire.

Unscrew the central nut of fastening of a rod of the shock-absorber (fig. 12.3) .

Remove the top support of a rack with the bearing fixed in it (fig. 12.4) . Check a bearing condition: it should rotate easily and smoothly, without jammings. Otherwise replace the top support of a rack. Also check a rubber element of the top support of a rack on absence of stratifications and cracks.

Remove a nest of a spring and the goffered protective cover from a shock-absorber rod. Check a condition of a rubber nest of a spring on absence of stratification and hardening and if necessary replace it.

Remove a spring with the adaptation for compression of a spring and place in a safe place.

Remove the buffer from a shock-absorber rod.

Check a condition of the bottom rubber nest of a spring on absence of stratification and hardening and, if necessary, replace it.
