PREVENTIONS Surely replace all blocks on one axis of the car even if only one block is worn-out. If brake shoes are repeatedly established, mark them before removal. At work of brake shoes the brake dust which contains asbestos is formed, unhealthy therefore when cleaning brake shoes do not use the compressed air and do not inhale a dust. For cleaning of brake mechanisms use only a special cleaner of brakes.

Uncover a compensatory tank of brake system.

Tighten the parking brake and block back wheels an emphasis.

Weaken nuts of fastening of a forward wheel. Lift a forward part of the car and establish it on support. Remove a forward wheel.

Check a brake disk on lack of cracks, especially round openings under bolts of fastening of a wheel, and also on lack of excessive wear or mechanical damages. In need of replacement at least one of disks replace both disks with axes.

Using a clamp, press the piston into a support (fig. 11.13) . At a piston utaplivaniye brake liquid is forced out from the brake cylinder in a compensatory tank therefore constantly watch liquid level in a tank, and if necessary pump out from a tank its surplus.

Clear a brake disk, using special liquid.

Turn out the bottom bolt of fastening of the support, thus the second key hold directing finger from a provorachivaniye, and lift a support up, turning it round the top directing finger. A soft wire tie up a support to a forward rack (fig. 11.14) . Do not turn out the top bolt of fastening of a support and a hollow bolt of fastening of a brake hose.

Remove from a support bracket the external shumopogloshchayushchy laying holding laying and an external brake shoe.

Remove from a support bracket the internal shumopogloshchayushchy laying holding laying and an internal brake shoe (fig. 11.15) .

Holding laying can repeatedly be used, if they have sufficient elasticity, are not deformed and on them there are no cracks, wear or corrosion traces.

If blocks are suitable for further operation, clear them a wire brush and rags.

Remove four directing brake shoes, check their condition and establish into place (fig. 11.16) .

At existence remove the wear indicator from an old brake shoe and establish on new (fig. 11.17) . If the indicator is worn-out or will bend, replace it.

Do not press a brake pedal at the removed brake shoes.

Put special greasing for disk brakes on both parties of internal shumopogloshchayushchy laying. Establish an internal brake shoe with the wear indicator, holding laying and internal shumopogloshchayushchy laying.

Establish the external brake shoe holding laying and external shumopogloshchayushchy laying.

Take the bottom directing finger from a bracket of a support and check its condition. For extraction of the top directing finger from a support move a support aside from a bracket. Apply a thin film high-temperature greasing on directing fingers and establish them in a support bracket.

Establish a support on a place and screw the bottom bolt of fastening of a support. If the support is not established on new blocks, a clamp press the piston into a support (fig. 11.18) .

With similar way replace brake shoes on the second forward wheel.

Establish wheels and lower the car on the earth.

Several times press a brake pedal that brake shoes occupied the working situation.
