The torque from a transmission to driving wheels is transferred by means of drive shaft, and on all-wheel drive cars also via the driveshaft.

Each shaft of a drive consists of three parts: internal and external hinges of equal angular speeds (CV JOINTS) and shaft.

The Shlitsevy part of the external hinge is inserted into a nave of a wheel and fixed by a nut. CV JOINTS are greased with konsistentny greasing which is replaced only when dismantling hinge.

Covers should be checked periodically on damages and leakage of greasing.

Greasing follows from the hinge at a rupture of a protective cover or weakening of collars of its fastening.

The torn protective covers of CV JOINTS immediately replace, damage of hinges differently is possible. Replacement of a cover includes removal of a shaft of a drive.
