Removal of a cowl carry out in a sledushchy way:

Open a cowl and enclose pure rags under its corners to protect a paint and varnish covering of the car at cowl removal.

Disconnect from a washer nozzle a hose and electric sockets.

Adhere to a hose and the electric socket a thin long cord.

Extend from a cowl electroconducting and a hose, untie from them a cord, leave it in a cowl. Further the cord is required for installation in an electroconducting and hose cowl.

Ask the assistant to support a cowl in open situation, turn out bolts of fastening of the left and right hinges of a cowl and, being careful, remove a cowl.

Installation of a cowl make in sequence, return to removal, taking into account the following:

With two assistants establish a cowl and twirl by hand bolts of fastening of hinges of a cowl.

Level cowl hinges according to earlier made labels and tighten bolts of fastening of a cowl.

Adjustment of a cowl make in a sledushchy way:

Close a cowl and check its provision of rather adjacent surfaces. For adjustment weaken bolts of fastening of loops of a cowl and, moving a cowl, adjust its situation.

After adjustment tighten bolts of fastening of loops of a cowl.

NOTE It is necessary to mean that the bolts established at plant, do not allow to carry out adjustment therefore for performance of adjustment replace these bolts standard with flat lock washers.

Marker note position of hinges on a cowl to know, on what distance to move a cowl.

After adjustment close a cowl and check its provision of rather adjacent surfaces.

For adjustment of a forward part of a cowl on height, and also for adjustment of gaps between a forward part of a cowl and wings it is possible to change position of the lock of a cowl.

Marker note the provision of bolts of fastening of the lock of a cowl (fig. 14.2) . Weaken bolts and, moving the lock, establish it in situation at which gaps between a forward part of a cowl and wings will be identical and uniform on all length.

After adjustment tighten bolts of fastening of the lock of a cowl.       

Adjustment of height of installation of a forward part of a cowl carry out, rolling or turning out the rubber emphasis located on each side on the forward cross-section panel on models till 2001 and in a forward part of a cowl on models since 2001, and also adjustment of position of the lock of a cowl. For increase in height of installation of a cowl a rubber emphasis rotate clockwise, and for reduction — counter-clockwise.
