Removal of a cable of an accelerator make as follows:

Switch off ignition and disconnect a "weight" wire from the storage battery.

Weaken a lock-nut of fastening of a cover of a cable to throttle knot (fig. 5.22) .

Turn the lever of throttle knot and a needle or пассатижами remove an accelerator cable from a groove in the lever.

Disconnect an accelerator cable from an accelerator pedal.

Take an accelerator cable from a partition in a motor compartment.

Installation of a cable of an accelerator carry out to sequences, return to removal. Be convinced that before installation of a cable of an accelerator in a partition of a motor compartment the condensing ring is established.

For adjustment of a cable of an accelerator execute the following:

– unscrew an adjusting nut on 3 mm from a cable arm;

– eliminate any sagging of a cable;

– tighten a lock-nut and check a cable deflection accelerators between the lever of throttle knot and a cover of a cable which should make 9–12 mm. If the deflection leaves out of the specified limits, weaken a lock-nut and, rotating an adjusting nut, establish a demanded deflection;

– after adjustment of a cable of an accelerator, the assistant should press and release an accelerator pedal, thus the lever of throttle knot should turn from an emphasis against the stop. Check that the cable of an accelerator moves smoothly, without jammings.
